I've just finished my first week back at work since Christmas, and it always feels like the longest week of the year. It's good to be back in routine though, there's things i wanted to do this week, but most nights when i got home i just wanted to relax and watch TV.

I had a good Christmas and New Year although for the first time in about 4 years i was working, however i did have 3 days off after New Years so it wasn't all bad.

Every year i get asked what i want for Christmas and it gets harder every time. The chances of me being given a 27" iMac as a present are pretty unlikely, so i had to by myself one as a present. I did get some good things though.

Earlier last year, the Raspberry Pi was released, and before you say it, no its not a form of desert. The Raspberry Pi is a credit card sized computer for £25. It's capable of running linux and has be designed to encourage people to start coding programs again.....

The weeks are just flying by at the moment. I don't have enough time during the day to fit everything in!

Yesterday was a good day, I finally got an advent calendar, and because it was 7 days late, I got to eat 7 chocolates in one go smile1.gif. Not only that, but my iPad mini finally arrived as well! I hate it when your at work, and you miss a parcel, especially when its something you have been waiting for, luckily I managed to go and pick it up last night.

I went for the WiFi / Cellular one because I find it annoying when I don't have an internet connection. As you probably can guess, I love it, its so light and the screen size is perfect. Other than the smaller size it's exactly the same as any other iPad so you feel at home straight away.

Once i've used it for a week or so I will do a full review. ....

It's the 1st of December and i don't have an advent calendar, i don't think it's something you can by yourself i think someone else has to buy one for you. However at least I'm greeted by freezing cold weather! It was so cold last night and there are rumours snow is just around the corner, lovely.

Christmas seems to be sneaking up on me this year, i am totally unprepared, i have no idea what to get people. Normally by now i have at least started buying presents, some of my friends have already bought and wrapped there's. I need to get my act together!

I keep buying myself things at the moment though, I'm still waiting for my iPad mini. It was originally meant to arrive on the 4th of December but now it's saying the 10th. It was shipped last Thursday and is currently at the airport (maybe it's going on holiday?), i can't believe it will take 12 days to deliver? I should have got the WiFi one rather than the LTE one. ....

I had a week off work this week, it felt like I hadn't had time to relax for ages. Unfortunately I managed to hurt my back last weekend so I haven't done as much as i'd hoped this week.

It's given me time to catch up with friends though and just get away from computers for a while, that doesn't include consoles though. I've been busy playing Call of Duty Black Ops 2, I was sceptical about the latest release in the popular series. The single player campaign has been getting more and more scripted, the world is very restricted and you are kept on one path, you can't explore. Enemies continue to appear until you reach the next way point and it just didn't feel very realistic.

Black Ops 2 is created by Treyarch who are known for wanting to go off the well beaten path of previous Call of Duty games created by Infinity Ward. BOPS2 is definitely another step in the right direction, there's more choice in this game, it's not as restrictive. A new Strike Force mode has been added, which is a cross between Command and Conquer and a first person shooter. You can control your squad from the air, or play each soldier individually. It's a great addition, although some of the AI is a little bit dumb, hopefully it will be improved with a patch.

I haven't played zombies yet, but no doubt it's fun as always! I will hopefully be posting some videos once I get around to it.....

So October has arrived, this means that summer is officially over right? On the bright side it means i can start shopping for my winter wardrobe. (I know I know I'm such a woman). I just can't resist things like a new Superdry hoodie, so when i was in town on saturday i got a new orange zip hoodie.

I wish i wasn't totally addicted to Superdry, it's just easy to find what i want there, so i always go back. Some of there new jumpers are awful though.

The rest of my weekend was spent watching films and drinking cider, i think i'm returning to my youth? I say that as if I'm really old!

First was The Raid - A SWAT team gets trapped in a tower block run my a mobster and his army and they have to fight there way in, then back out again. There was a lot of good action and fight sciences, but no real story line.....

September has arrived and I'm not quite sure where the rest of the year has gone? Someone just said its 16 weeks until Christmas!

The Paralympics had started in London and its amazing the athletes are just so good. Being in a wheelchair myself I used to play a lot of these sports, basketball, rugby, tennis, fencing and various races. I even competed in a mini Paralympics so I know how hard it is! Part of me wishes I never gave it up but my social life and learning to drive sent me down a different path. I have no regrets by giving it up but it makes me proud of those that are truly dedicated to their sport, especially those who win models for Great Britain.

I don't like the Channel 4 coverage though, the adverts ruin the tension and it's frustrating because you don't know what you might miss. The BBC really did a good job. It's a shame they are not doing the Paralympics as well.....

Hey all, i haven't blogged for weeks! I've had a lot of things going on in my personal life and i just haven't felt like blogging. Don't worry I'm not going to go into the details.

I feel so our of touch because i've not commented on anything for ages, no Apple news, no reviews, no TV talk, nothing!

September is just around the corner, and it looks like it's going to be a great month! Apple are holding an event on the 12 of September which is likely to be the launch of the iPhone 5 and maybe the new iPad mini. The Rumours for the new iPhone haven't been that great so far, apart from it being thinner, a different colour, curvy and have a much smaller dock connector. Nothing has really caught my attention so far.

The smaller dock connector will actually really annoy me and lots of others. I have a charger at home, work and in my car, and cables for connecting to computers, along with a couple of docks. None of these will work without the new Apple adaptor and i will need one for each. No doubt the adaptor will cost £25 so its not only a hassle it's a rip off.

I understand that designs have to change and things always get smaller but surely a company like apple should have foreseen this, smaller connectors existed before the iPhone. USB mini is supposed to be the universal standard for mobile phone connectors, but as always Apple want to go their own way. You can't blame them it's just annoying.....

I'm sat here watching Andy Murray play at Wimbledon, so i decided it was a good time to blog. As always i have been pretty busy lately, lots of great things going on at work and new opportunities happening all the time. I feel really focused on work at the moment, i know working hard now will mean i can play easy later.

Since buying a new Xbox (my old one broke and i couldn't be bothered to fix it) i've been gaming a lot more. I'm just able to start playing the Fable series, not really sure what to expect. I have to say i've missed xbox live, multiplayer gaming on my PS3 is just not the same!

Microsoft recently released the Chrome Series Xbox controllers and as i love blue, i had to buy the blue one. Look how pretty it is!

Yup it's that time of the year again, my birthday! It seems to have come around much quicker than I was expecting. Normally my birthday falls on the May bank holiday so I never usually have to work. However because of the Jubilee, they moved the May bank holiday to June. I decided to book the week off work, that along with the Jubilee gave me a longer time off.

Amazingly the weather has been lovely! I didn't expect that, I am really glad I got air conditioning though as it got rather warm at times, it's definitely one of the best purchases I have ever made!

As you get older you get less and less for your birthday, when I was younger I could almost guarantee every card would have either money, a voucher or a cheque in it. These days its only my immediate family that do that, the cakes get smaller to.

My week involved a lot of food, 4 birthday meals (so far), cake, 6 doughnuts (with 6 more to claim at a later date) and more. Next week I am going on a diet and eating as little as possible.

On Wednesday I went to my favourite shopping centre, Bluewater. You can probably guess why I wanted to go there, yep thats right, the Apple Store. I decided to add to my every growing Apple collection and get the Apple TV.

Summer has finally arrived, and trust me I know about it. I'm so fair skinned I not only get sunburn, I get moon burn! Don't get me wrong I love the sun I just wish I didn't burn quicker than a match. I don't tan either, I just burn, go red, then go back to normal. It's so annoying!

After all the rain we've had recently though it makes a nice change to be able to sit outside at lunch time or goto a beer garden to relax.

However it does have a downside, my bedroom is south facing, so it gets a lot of sun. I came home on wednesday to find the temperature in my bedroom was 28 degrees C, with my blinds closed and everything. I'm used to my room getting hot, with my TV, computer & games consoles it can get pretty warm, but this was too much.

I decided enough was enough and decided to research portable Air Conditioning units, I was expecting them to be around £500 but was surprised they were closer to the £250 mark. I did some research and although I was dubious to how much they would cool a room down I went for it.....
